It is very important to keep your web server or database server free of malware and clutter. Make sure your c drive has at least 5 gig of available space on it. We have some clients that have had server problems due to the fact that they only had 1 gig of space remaining on their C: drive. The next thing that happened was that the system was swapping memory and began to run very slow. Eventually the system will crash with not enough spare disk space allocated. This could also lead to system file corruption or memory parameter errors.
Also it is a very good idea to move the swap file to a drive that is not the system drive, for example the e: drive or d: drive. Overall just keep your system clean, run a good antivirus program and only run programs and services that are absolutely needed on your windows server. Be careful out there.
